Actinic keratosis

Actinic keratoses are pre-cancerous growths on the skin.  These rough pink scaly spots are often found on chronically sun exposed areas such as the scalp, face, hands and forearms.  Actinic keratoses develop in response to years of sun exposure and have the potential to develop into skin cancers.  Therefore intervention is usually recommended.  Treatment may consist of destructive modalities such as cryosurgery, topical medications, and light therapy to name a few.

Morgan Dermatology utilizes Blu Light or Photodynamic therapy for the treatment of actinic keratosis.  CLICK HERE to view the Blu Light educational video.
